President: Greg Handel

Greg Handel is the founder of GIC Investments Corp. He has been around real estate all his life as his father worked as a broker and realtor in both residential and commercial real estate. Greg studied commerce at the University of Calgary and has taken all the courses towards his Microsoft Certifications as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator.

His early work was in management here in Calgary before moving onto a position as Manager of Technology Consulting for Meyers Norris Penny, an accounting firm. He then moved on to a senior broker position with Sigma Explorations Inc, where he worked during the initial years of GIC. His dedication and drive have allowed him to far exceed his expectations in past roles, and he brings that desire to succeed, combined with his passion for people, to the daily operations of GIC.

He is highly trained in the area of sales and marketing. He values people above property. He is the leader of the ever growing team of commited people at GIC Investments Corp. who come together to make this company so effective at what it does.

Sales Manager: Peter Luke Baptiste

Peter Luke Baptiste brings a vast sales and marketing experience with him to GIC Investments Corp. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion from Huntsville, Alabama’s Oakwood College. He has completed the course work for the Master of Science Degree in Software Engineering from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. And he has participated in numerous sales advantage training sessions, and personal growth and development programs such as the Landmark Educational Forum.

Peter’s life’s work experience includes expertise and development in the areas of marketing, computer information systems, human resource management, counseling, public speaking and leadership. He is well traveled and highly exposed to numerous real estate markets. His diversified work experience in the fields of sales training, human relations, inter-generational marketing and problem solving, provide the inner strength from which he pulls his commitment to excellence and his dedication to customer service.

 

Manager of Pre & Post Sales: James Ray

James’ powerful combination of street level experience and formal education provides his clients at GIC with safe, high return investment opportunities. As a budding entrepreneur James’s appreciation of the value of a dollar was dramatically increased. Investing his family’s savings to start a small construction company, not a dollar was spent without a calculated return on investment. This same careful consideration and calculation is brought to both his personal and his clients’ investment portfolios today.

James has been educated in real estate investment strategies, business start up, as well as personal & professional leadership. This knowledge has been tested by fire as he worked in Calgary’s demanding construction industry in the capacities of business owner, project manager as well as more recently in sales and marketing. He is also reaping the personal benefits of owning revenue property in Calgary’s booming market.

James commitment to see others prosper extends to the under privileged and financially impoverished. His humanitarian works span from working with Calgary’s under privileged teens to building homes for families in third world countries. In a very practical way, he uses the power of real estate to better the lives of individuals from a wide range of income levels.

Project Manager: Shane Mathews

A born and raised Calgarian, Shane has watched this city’s explosive growth affect all levels of real estate and finance. A fast track career in the General Insurance industry that saw him go from mailroom to partner inside of five years gives him a unique office ability to manage teams and products.

His family is extensively involved in both the commercial and residential real estate market, and he grew up surrounded by success. An extremely varied sales experience combined with extensive world travel has developed in him an ability to think outside of the box. Resourcefulness and highly developed problem solving abilities increase Shane’s value to the team.
